What should I wear?
We have no dress policy for those who attend Oakwood Baptist Church. When you come to one of our weekend services, you will find people dressed in a wide variety of styles from casual to very dressy. We think that what you wear to church should not detract from the worship experience of others around you. We want all of the attention to go to Jesus Christ.
What is the music like?
Our music is refreshing, powerful, and traditional. We have an adult choir of about 30 members, a men’s quartet, trios, and a number of soloists. As a congregation we sing all the great songs of the faith straight from the hymn book. We strive to provide music in our services that pleases the Lord and we do our best to conform to the music principles found in verses such as Colossians 3:16 - "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord."
What is an independent Baptist Church?
Being independent simply means that we are not tied to any convention or denomination. We make all of our decisions locally and are not obligated financially to any group outside the church. Oakwood Baptist Church is one of many independent Baptist Churches in Hall County.
What are the accommodations for the disabled?
