Oakwood Baptist Church held its first service on Father’s Day, June 17, 2001 with 32 people attending.  Initially, the church met in the home of Mr. & Mrs. John Cardaropoli of Braselton, GA, but soon relocated to Martin Elementary School in Flowery Branch.  After being in the school for about a year the church purchased 10 acres of prime real estate across the street and began construction on our current facility.

Today Oakwood Baptist Church is a thriving independent Baptist church in Hall County with a variety of ministries which work to carry the gospel of Jesus Christ to our community and the world. Everyone is welcome at OBC!
